Another one of those I just had to get. As a start I love the P-51, and the details look awesome. Price is ridiculously low for such a good RTF EPO model, and all the components are good quality... Hobbyking can really do things at both ends of the spectrum in terms of quality, and this P-51 is certainly on the good one.
There we go for the fun part. Not that flying that nice little one isn't fun, but doing it from the inside will be even more fun. After some guesswork, I aim for a max weight of about 7gr for the video equipment. This should include the camera, video transmitter, and a pan servo. The servo should have 180° throw, which won't be easy as there's no known servo that does it out of the box and is light enough.
At the beginning of 2012 I was kind of passively looking for a super micro airplane with full aerobatics capabilities to convert for FPV flight. I've already made several small FPV models, but they were always "calm fliers". With the fun I recently had by doing FPV aerobatics, I really needed a small version with head tracking and all the fun things.
